Below is a home Blue Bayou completely gutted. You could look completely through it- front to back. We reconfigured the interior. Totaly new electricity, new plumbing and pipes, insulation, drywall, doors, windows, AC/Heat, siding, room, name it it is new.

We took 2 bedrooms and closets, one hallway, one crazy area, installed engineered beams to bear the load of the roof and made one very large main room, aprox 29' x 20'. We an existing family room and added a master bath with a 4' square shower, two sinks, dressing table, potty room, 12x12 walk in cedar closet and 16 x16 master bedroom.

We took the former attached garage and made it a pantry and guest room. We took the former living room and made it into a 3rd guest room and a seperate office.

Wonderful use of square footage. Looking back, prob. should have torn it down and started over :-). However, it turned out very nice and warm.

Fencing

This is a top of the line wooden privacy fence for the Houston area.  This fence is aprox 7' tall, built with 4" x 4" treated post in 24" concrete on 8' centers. It has a 2x12 treated "rot" board on the bottom. The top edge of this board is cut at a 45 degrees to allow rain water to run off.  The pickets are 1x6" x 6" #1 Cedar. This fence has 3 runners on back of the pickets, using 2x4 treated lumber. The top of the fence is topped off with a Treated 2x6". The top of the post were cut at 5degrees to allow the rain water to run off.  The bottom of the top 2x6 is finished with a 1x2 cedar trim. Each "gap" between the pickets is covered with a 1x2 cedar trim.

This is one step up from a basic wooden fence.  This fence is Cedar pickets with a 2x12 bottom rot board.

A basic fence is 1x6 treated pine pickets with no rot board.

This drive through gate is 11' wide and 7' tall.  This gate has a beautiful curved top.  This gate not only has the normal remote controls from the car but has 2 digital key pads for weekend yard work so you dont have to keep up with the car clicker.

This is a basic iron drive through gate. It is 10' wide with a fence to the home. It is 6' tall and has remote control openers. The foreground is a drive we poured.
